Designer Profile: Neuw

If you’ve been following our fashion meanderings, you know that we are mildly obsessed with the lines that have made their way from Australia to the American market, so now we bring something NEUW. For the past two years NUEW, a ‘vintage revision’ denim brand, has been making major waves down-under and this fall they will crash onto the American shore.
Neuw is the denim brainchild of three good friends, Swede Par Lundqvist and Australians Stephen Little and Richard Bell. The idea was to create a premium denim brand that visits and revisits treatments and cuts that make the line recreate the perfect vintage jean that usually takes years to mold. Hence the process ‘vintage revision’.

Par is a denim-phile, with a personal collection of denim that dates back more than a hundred years. The archive gives him the inspiration he needs to create truly iconic NEUW pieces. We especially appreciate their “Black Colour” denim. Unlike most denim brands that cross weave with white, NEUW uses a black cross weave so you get deeper colors. Oh, and did we mention the brand also has a full line of women’s apparel that has us drooling? We wanted to try everything on.

Neuw will be available at Stanton and James, Revolve Clothing and Madison Los Angeles.
